Quoting Island Dog,   Just an update. We are currently working on the system that will resolve the issues that have come up in this post, and should prevent any activation issues for users who want to install on their home PC and laptop for instance. We're hoping to get the changes made as soon as possible and just wanted to keep you updated to let you know we are working on a resolution. We'll update once everything is set. We're sorry for the troubles, and if you have any issues please feel free to contact support or let me know if I can help.

Update:

We have completed our server-side changes to relax the activation limits for Fences and Object Desktop subscriptions.

You can continue to use version 2.13. If you have any issues or concerns, please contact support at support@stardock.com.

Thank you for your patience!

OK, so it's not just me.  I thought something was broken software-wise.  apparently it's just greed kicking in.  no more re-subscriptions from me.  goodbye stardock.

my only question is, do you realize how much this is going to INCREASE piracy of your products, or have you really gotten that stupid over the years?

I'm sorry, I missed the update post

Let''s stop kidding?
What now that suddenly started asking for activation again saying this installed on another PC?

You have no control, or is to annoy consumers?
This hour is torture deal with a company like that.

Very longtime Stardock customer. I am quite grumpy, too. Please post to this thread when you have worked out something.

Same problem here. Updated on notebook, cannot activate on main PC. Come on, guys. And yes I can understand Stardock, I know a huuuuuge company who behaves as they describe. Take open source from poor people and hobbyists, don't say thank you, or buy one license and deploy it to 100s... Guys with such ideas often have no codex, maybe have no clue about software development and don't care, also it's that they can lick their bosses ass about that they saved $$$ --- in order to reach the next step in hierarchy. Career you know.

mscheer -

Perhaps you missed the response by Island Dog added to the original post and mentioned numerous times in the comments.

Stradock is working on a fix and will update as soon as possible.
